At Dyrenes Verden Filskov, we offer a fantastic opportunity to take a walk with an owl on your arm! This experience is perfect for both animal lovers and adventure seekers. The walk takes place on trails in and around the zoo.

Owls are not only beautiful and majestic; they are also fascinating creatures with unique traits. By participating in our owl walk, you’ll have the chance to learn more about these amazing birds.

Meet Owl Alfa

Alfa is a Canadian Great Horned Owl. She is from April 2024, so she is still a young owl in training. Therefore, we take things at her pace, but she is always ready for a cozy walk.

When you arrive for your owl walk, you’ll help prepare her for the walk, and we’ll discuss how to handle her during the tour. You’ll get to put on the glove and have the chance to train her a bit (at her current level), and walk with her on your arm throughout the journey, if you wish.

Alfa is a large owl weighing 1400 grams currently and should be carried on the left arm.
